Adapting to International Flavours – ALDI

This week I remembered the time in Australia when I really wanted to eat something familiar from Germany and suddenly in Mooloolaba I found an ALDI store and I took my chance to eat German Sausages and some German Sweets. And I was surprised how similar the product portfolio was to the German stores. Doing Business in Germany – Part 2

Last week I talked about typical behaviour in different regions of Germany. Today it’s about the common business etiquette.

Greeting:

A short and firm handshake with direct eye contact shows the respect for the business partner. In a meeting with more people you should give everyone a handshake and tell them your last name during this. If everyone is sitting already you can also knock on the table and say Hello during this gesture. Continue reading
