Soundhawk – The new way to listen

Hi there,

Intelligent Gymware – Athos

Hi,

today I want to present Athos, a venture-backed Start Up which developed a system to track your exercise data. Compared to Nike+ or other similar sports tracking apps you have the possibility to get detailed data to every muscles group. This is possible because of the 100 % machine-washable technical gym clothes. The clothes include sensors which monitor the individual muscle activity. You can check this data in time by insert a small “core” into the clothes which is a device that sends the data directly to your smartphone. Continue reading

IAMECO – The environmental friendly PC

In the recent time computers have a very short life cycle time and a really bad environmental balance. The individual components are not easy to reuse and they are fastly out of date due to new techniques and so forth. MicroPro, a company from Ireland, developed a Touchscreen personal computer which is supposed to fabricate 70 percent less carbon dioxid as an usual and comparable personal computer. These numbers are calculated throughout the whole life cycle, beginning with the reduction over the using phase until the recycling process. Moreover they mention that 78 percent of the materials are recyclable and an additional part of 20 percent are even reusable for repairing other computers. Continue reading

If I had the following backpack I would have been able to make a picture of the “mass boxing event” of at least 10 kangaroos! Continue reading

Have a look at the video on Phonebloks and support the idea by joining the Thunderclap on their page and sharing the idea on Facebook.

Creativeness and Simplicity – Sandwichbike

Tool Kit for SandwichbikesUsing 2 plywood boards to create a serviceable and unique bike, that’s the idea of Basten Leijh of Bleijh. He uses re-examined materials for manufacturing and distributing the bike. The packaging seems to be inspired by the packaging of furniture at IKEA with the big advantage of lower shipping costs for such flat packages. Continue reading
