today just a short post about a very inspiring video of Prince Ea who says sorry to future generations. I just wanted to share the video because he has a lot of right points in this poem/rap.
Let’s do something about it. Every small action helps to make this world a better place and save something of its beauty for future generations.
today I have to welcome me back to this Blog. I had little to no time since I am back in Germany to blog something here. Just to let you know what happened. I finished the ACP Project Management course as the best student but I dedicate this to my wonderful Project Management Team.
From January on, I helped out the SternenGalerie, a fireworks company which was founded by a friend of mine. Since he is developping his new StartUp Aletheio in the US I had the chance too jump on the business and work as COO for them. It’s a lot of fun but of course a lot of new things to learn, which needs a great effort and time.
During this time I also succeeded in finishing my Masters’ degree in International Management. My final thesis is about Corporate Entrepreneurship and how large companies can learn from Start Ups to develop their internal strength and to motivate their internal resources for doing innovation within the company. It provides companies with a catalogue of methods how to increase the innovational power within their own structure. This work will be published in a book about innovational processes and I am very proud of this.
So I hope within the next weeks I will succeed on giving you some interesting blog posts about Project Management, Intercultural Communication and Entrepreneurship.
See you soon!
within the last month our class succeeded in several classes such as Monitoring and Control with Earned Value, Project Procurement and Managin Multiple Projects.
In the Earned Value class we learned how to analyse the current success of a project by the measures of cost and time. I think it’s a very easy tool to see the current status of the project and to realize early if it falls behind schedule or goes over budget. Continue reading
yesterday was the international day of project management (first thursday in every november) and our instructor gave us an interesting link to the virtual conference which has available videos and more information on the topic until 21st of November. I highly recommend to register for it at the top of the page (it’s free) and have at least a look at the intro which they made very interesting in form of a virtual conference hall. Have a look at International Institute for Learning Continue reading
one week ago we finished the Cost Management class and I developed a basic calculator for the Hybrid vs. non-Hybrid vs. Tesla S car comparison concerning ongoing and initial costs. Well with the estimation we had to implement the net present value of the Tesla was almost the same as the Hybrid and I of course recommended buying the Tesla S model…if you are interested in the simple calculator version let me know and I will send you the Excel data. last week I told you about our leadership presentation. Our team did a great job and we were elected by our peers to be the best and most creative presentation in class and everyone won a ten dollar voucher of amazon. Great additional rewarding by our instructor. Nevertheless the other presentations were also very interesting and creative and presented Richard Branson, Papa Smurf and Mother India from a leadership perspective.
Since thursday we are in the project cost management class Continue reading
last week was packed with another topic on Project Management. We learned about leadership and team building in a project environment and the instructor gave us the task to present leaders in the different stages of team development (Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing & Adjourning). Our group had to present a leader who was very successful in the Storming stage. We finally agreed on doing a presentation about Jupp Heynckes who is a former coach of Bayern Munich and was the first coach to win the triple (German Cup, German Championship and Champions League Trophy) in one year. He was able to create a positive team environment and a kind of family even with all the stars who were playing in the team. They learned to respect each other and that the team success is more valuable as the personal success. Continue reading
